Chrishell Stause is going back to her roots as she is reunited with her former All My Children co-star, Colin Egglesfield. This has got fans reminiscing on when Stause brought Amanda Dillon to life on the beloved soap.
In AMC, Egglesfield played Erica Kane’s son, Joshua Madden, who seemed to blame Stause’s Amanda Dillon for all of his wrongdoings. Including the time he sabotaged his mother’s new show and when he drugged Erica and put the blame on Amanda.
Whilst their characters may not have seen eye to eye off-screen the actors are good friends in real life, as proved by Stause’s recent tribute.
Chrishell Stause reunites with All My Children co-star
The 41-year-old Selling Sunset star shared three snaps of the duo including some throwback shots of when they were co-stars on the soap. In the caption, she penned a heartfelt tribute to their friendship, which started on the set of AMC.
Stause wrote, “My 1st big movie premier I ever went to was to watch him kill it in “Something Borrowed” and have rooted for him since meeting him day one.” The reality and soap star thinks Egglesfield deserved every success because of his talent, and she could not wait for fans to see him in their new production, “A Rose For Her Grave.”
She then shared that the pair have been reunited to star in a new Lifetime thriller which will release in early 2023. After telling followers she will keep them updated with an exact date she concluded the message by reminiscing on her and Egglesfield’s days as co-stars, Josh and Amanda, in All My Children.
Stause also revealed that in the Lifetime thriller titled A Rose for Her Grave, based on Ann Rule’s 1993 true-crime book of the same name: “He plays the real-life serial killer Randy Roth in this movie, but judging by the throwback pics he posted, it looks like I did before.” She revealed that she only posted the “cute ones” but shared that the memories were “golden” even if the “looks were tragic.”
Egglesfield responded to the post sharing his appreciation for the actress and how proud he is of all she has achieved over the years. He also revealed that she has “remained the same beautiful and inspiring person since the day we met.”
What is the plot of A Rose for Her Grave?
The narrative follows the real-life crimes of notorious wife-killer Randy Roth (Egglesfield). Cindy (Laura Ramsey) loses her husband but finds love again in Randy. However, she soon suspects her husband has a dark side to him and before she can do anything about it she ends up dead after drowning in a lake whilst on vacation with Randy and the kids.
Stause plays the best friend of Cindy, who brings Roth to justice after she takes it upon herself to investigate the deaths. After digging through Randy’s history she soon realizes Cindy wasn’t his only wife who suffered a tragic death.
Chrishell Stause’s stint on All My Children
Chrishell Stause joined the cast of All My Children in 2005 when she landed the role of Amanda Dillon. The actress reprised the role from Alexis Manta, and the character returned to Pine Valley after a five-year hiatus. Stause’s tenure lasted until 2011 before she moved over to Days of Our Lives from 2013 to 2020.
The character was beloved by soap fanatics and Stause recently addressed their hopes that All My Children will be rebooted and Amanda would return.
Stause explained: “Every couple of years, there’s this new conversation about it coming back,” she says. “I do know there’s a lot of people rooting for that to happen, and a lot of people are open to it, as far as the actors go, so we’ll see. You never know! There have been so many things that have been revived. Now, with streaming, anything is possible.”
