General Hospital’s Chad Duell who portrays Michael Corinthos is recently touring all the iconic sights of LA as he heads to the Hollywood sign.
Since Chad Duell first touched down in Port Charles back in 2010, he has become a daytime soap opera veteran. Let’s take a look at what Duell is up to as he takes a break from the GH canvas.
General Hospital star Chad Duell takes in tourist sights
Chad Duell shared a sweet post of him playfully looking down at the ground with his hand on his chest, in front of the famous Hollywood sign. The actor paired a blue vest which showed off his muscles with black shorts and a pair of gold Air Max 98s.
Sonny’s portrayer, Maurice Benard took to the comments section simply writing “Ok.” Clearly, this is Benard’s way of saying he misses him, as just a couple of weeks ago they were out getting lunch together with fellow GH co-star Marcus Coloma.

The character of Michael Corinthos came onto the canvas when he was born back on 29 December 1997, to Carly Benson and got raised by his mom’s friend, Jason Morgan. Michael was born with a severe heart condition and his mother suffered from postpartum depression. Baby Michael was played by two actors, twins, Blake and Dylan Hopkins who remained in the role until 2001. The role was then passed on to Tiarnan Cunningham who had a short run in the role and played him from 2001 to 2002.
Dylan Cash then stepped into the role of Michael as a recurring member until he was given a full contract in 2005. Cash’s departure from the show came when he was shot by a bullet meant for his father, and left in a coma.
Michael woke up from his coma a year later, in 2009, at 17 years old and was played by Drew Garrett. Drew also didn’t have a long run on the show as he was ‘released’ from his contract in 2010. Drew was even nominated for an Emmy in the Oustanding Younger Actor category for his portrayal just as he exited the show and was replaced.
He was replaced by the fifth reincarnation of Michael who is actually the show’s current star Duell. His previous credits were in minor roles on Disney Channel’s The Suite Life On Deck and The Wizards Of Waverly Place. Duell has now played the role for 12 years and received a nomination for Outstanding Younger Actor in 2011.
