Airing on CBS for 35 years, The Bold And The Beautiful has seen an awful lot of drama and in more than three decades it has had its fair share of wild storylines.
B&B’s thriller-esque stories come from head writer and executive producer Brad Bell, who serves an array of narratives to keep us on the edge of our seats.
Let’s take a look at some of our favourites.
Justin Barber pushed Ridge from a helicopter
Bill demanded Justin Barber push Ridge from a helicopter into the Persian Gulf, although Ridge was soon rescued from a beach. Everyone thought Bill had gone too far but Ridge was going to get revenge and got between Bill and Brooke’s romance. Some think this was a B&B moment that went too far, but it certainly added to the drama.
Pam tied Donna to a chair and poured honey on her in hopes a bear would attack.
Stephanie (Susan Flannery) has a dark past and, after suffering abuse as a child, she cut off her family. However, her therapist Taylor (Hunter Tylo) encouraged her to confront her family and get closure.
Her sister Pam (Alley Mills) is in LA and after Stephanie’s marriage to Eric (John McCook) her sister came to her defence. Pam ruined Eric’s newfound relationship with Donna (Jennifer Gareis) – she did many bad things such as turning her teeth and hair green, and trapping her in a tanning bed.
However, it really was the tip of the iceberg when she lured Donna into a cabin in the woods. She ended up tying her to a chair and pouring honey over her to try to make a wild bear attack her!
Oliver Jones accidentally slept with Brooke after mistaking her for Hope
Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) had sex with her daughter’s boyfriend Oliver Jones (Zack Conroy) on the terrace, as reported by Soap Central. Hope was still a virgin but had told Oliver she would say “I’m ready” when the time was right.
On the night of a masquerade party, Oliver was excited because Hope had told him she had something to give him. His sister said not to put pressure on Hope but he told her not to worry as he knew “I’m ready” was the go-ahead.
At the party, Brooke took Oliver to the terrace while he thought it was Hope and they made love, Marcus appeared to be the only person to see what happened. However, it appears even Oliver doesn’t know what went down as when he found Hope on the stairs he couldn’t believe it wasn’t her he had just been with. As the DJ announced everyone should take off their masks, Oliver saw it was Brooke he had made love to.
Ridge Forrester’s real father revealed
Ridge Forrester finding out the identity of his real father was one of the wildest storylines on The Bold And The Beautiful. In 2001, Stephanie’s first love, Massimo Marone (Joseph Mascolo), came back into her life around the same time Ridge was in an accident and needed a blood transfusion.
However, when Ridge and Eric’s blood types didn’t match it was revealed Massimo was his father.
When Ridge Proposed to Taylor Instead
Ridge was going to propose to Brooke at a fashion show as she modelled a wedding dress, designed just for her. Sounds like the perfect moment, right?
No, he found out she was cheating on him with his friend. In the end, she didn’t even get to wear the gown and he let Taylor wear it instead and decided to propose to her too.
