Was Big Meech’s brother shot in the eye?

The Black Mafia Family empire was founded in 1989 by brothers Demetrius Flenory, widely known as Big Meech, and his younger brother Terry Flenory, aka Southwest T.

Crime series BMF recently premiered inspired by the true story of the Flenory brothers. BMF was created by executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and writer/executive producer Randy Huggins.

Episode 1 ended with the gruesome shooting of Southwest T as he headed out to meet Big Meech, according to a plot rundown reported by Heightzone.

An unknown assailant shot Flenory in front of his children’s mother’s house.

Big Meech searches for the man who attacked Southwest T and episode 2 of BMF centres on vengeance after Southwest T loses his eye when corrective surgery fails.

The third episode of season 1 is entitled Love All, Trust Few and fans are eagerly awaiting more of the drama.

Who could have shot Terry Flenory?

While viewers await episode 3, and although nothing has yet been confirmed surrounding the attacker’s identity, speculation surrounding the event have been circling the internet.

Heightzone reports Terry Flenory chose the nickname Southwest T after being inspired by another hustler in Detroit who had the same name.

Some allege Flenory attracted women from the original Southwest T, which fuelled a rivalry.

Some viewers have been pinning the incident on the ‘other’ Southwest T but there’s no evidence to back up these claims.

After losing his eye, Terry Flenory adopted a more private lifestyle, adding more security and constantly keeping on the move.

More about Southwest T on BMF

Growing up on the streets of Detroit, the Flenory brothers began dealing illegal substances in high school, which launched the foundations of their criminal empire.

However, their network came to an end in 2005 following arrests made by the Drug Enforcement Agency.

In 2007 the brothers pleaded guilty to running a criminal enterprise and in 2008 they were each sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Terry Flenory was released on house arrest in May 2020 as pandemic restrictions affected federal prisons.

A 25-year-old actor, Da’Vinchi, stars in the role of Southwest T in the onscreen adaptation of the Black Mafia Family.
