Throughout its six seasons, Better Call Saul has introduced fans to a plethora of cast members including regular actors plus some one-off guest stars.

Episode 6 of the current season was no different as the show welcomed some new and familiar faces in roles large and small.

Better Call Saul season 6 episode 6 recap

Episode 6 of Better Call Saul aired on AMC in the US on Monday, May 16th, 2022 and was followed a day later on Netflix internationally.

Titled Axe and Grind, the episode saw Jimmy and Kim get the final pieces of their conniving plan into place as they prepared for ‘D-Day’ of their nefarious scheme.

Elsewhere, Howard Hamlin reassured his wife that he is wise to Jimmy’s scam while Lalo Salamanca caught up to one of Werner Ziegler’s men in Germany.

However, just as Jimmy and Kim’s ploy seemed assured to succeed, a last-minute hiccup threatens to derail the whole endeavour.

Meet the new arrival and guests

Beth Hoyt as Mrs. Wexler

Beth Hoyt is an actress Better Call Saul fans will have seen before as she also appeared as Kim Wexler’s mother back in 2020’s season 5, episode 6.

As well as appearing in Better Call Saul, Beth has more than 30 roles to her name with notable appearances in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, parody series Gay’s Anatomy, Dead to Me and Marvel’s What If…? where she voiced Pepper Potts.

Katie Beth Hall as Young Kim Wexler

Katy Beth Hall is a recent arrival on the acting scene as the 17-year-old starlet made her debut in the 2016 short film The New 35.

Since then, the Young Kim Wexler actress has gone on to appear in Happy!, Head of the Class and 2021’s Home Sweet Home Alone.

John Posey as Rand Casimiro

Experienced actor John Posey takes on the role of moustachioed judge Rand Casimiro in episode 6, the real one that is.

With over 70 roles to his name, Posey is an actor many will have seen before with previous roles coming in the likes of 9-1-1: Lone Star, Teen Wolf, How to Get Away with Murder and he even had a minor appearance in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

John Ennis as Lenny (fake Casimiro)

Appearing in episode 6 as the actor Lenny, playing the fake Casimiro, is John Ennis, a veteran of almost 170 acting roles.

After making his debut in 1996, John Ennis has gone on to appear in the likes of Dead to Me, Star Wars Resistance, American Dad! and has even appeared alongside Bryan Cranston in Malcolm in the Middle and Bob Odenkirk in Mr Show with Bob and David.

Stefan Kapicic Stefan Kapicic as Casper

German-born Serbian actor Stefan Kapicic is a returning cast member to Better Call Saul as he first appeared in season 4 as one of Werner Zielger’s boys, Casper.

Aside from his role in Better Call Saul, Stefan has appeared in the likes of Chicago Med, Love, Death & Robots as well as Deadpool and its 2018 sequel where he played Colossus.

Sandrine Holt as Cheryl Hamlin

And finally, we end with one of the episodes truly new cast members in Sandrine Holt who plays Howard’s wife, Cheryl Hamlin.

Aside from playing Howard’s estranged wife – who doesn’t appreciate his coffee foam art – Sandrine has over 70 roles to her name including appearances in House of Cards, Homeland, Mr Robot, The Expanse, MacGyver, 24 and The L Word.
