The Young And The Restless fans have been waiting for Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) to say “I do” for quite some time. After five years together, Teriah are finally tying the knot and will make a bit of history in the soap world with their wedding becoming the first same-sex couple to marry on the CBS soap opera.
Tessa and Mariah have won the hearts of Y&R fans, even when they had infidelity issues and break-ups the power couple fought through.

Mariah and Tessa’s wedding will be watched by The Young And The Restless fans across the globe. Many can’t wait to watch the wedding, with Fairbanks telling People: “I feel especially honoured to be a part of this moment because I understand the importance of it.
“It’s also representing on screen so many people who haven’t really had that opportunity to be themselves, and every time I come to work, I am reminded of that. This is a really proud moment for the show.”
The wedding will be just as fun and quirky as the couple are, with a bit of a Seventies theme going on. Grimes and Fairbanks will both wear beautiful long white gowns with flower headpieces and tousled curls in their hair. Expect to see your favourite characters busting out dance moves during the reception. “Josh was definitely dancing!” says Grimes, talking about Joshua Morrow, aka Nick.
Aside from their beautiful wedding, the couple also plan to adopt a child and expand their family. Y&R fans can’t wait to see what’s ahead for the newlyweds and their life together.

“It has been lovely that people have been so accepting, especially Mariah’s mom,” the actor told Soap Opera Digest. “There’s never been a question with Sharon of whether or not that part of her daughter’s relationship is ok, which is nice. Of course, if it wasn’t, then it would be a matter of, ‘It’s none of your business,’ but it’s never come to that.”
