As a new week of Jeopardy began on Monday (19 July) GMA’s Robin Roberts joined the classic game show series. As she presented her first show, some were curious to know more about contestant Allison Pistorius after she captured the hearts of Jeopardy fans.

Who is Allison Pistorius?

Monday saw a start of a new week for the classic game series Jeopardy as GMA presenter Robin Roberts joined the show as its latest guest host.

Following last night’s episode, some Jeopardy fans were curious to know more about the contestants including Allison Pistorius and her life away from the show.

Off-screen, Pistorius is a classically trained actress. During her career, she has played roles in many local productions as part of Stage West Theatre and Dallas Theatre Center.

As mentioned on Jeopardy, Pistorius is a mother of triplets and often shares sweet snaps of her family on her Instagram.

What has the actress been in?

While she is known for her roles in many regional productions, according to her profile on IMDb, she is also a voice actress and has voiced parts in manga series Level E.

A Stage West Theatre profile on the actress also states Allison Pistorius has worked as part of the production on USA Network’s Queen Of The South as a dialect coach.

Elsewhere she is a teacher and currently works as part of the faculty at Southern Western University in Texas.

Fans react to Allison on Jeopardy

After Monday’s episode aired Pistorius took to social media as she admitted despite not winning, being a part of the show had been a dream come true for her.

She wrote: “So many thanks to @RobinRoberts & everyone at @Jeopardy for helping me realize a dream & giving me a delightful a vacation during a time of grief and sorrow after the loss of my father.

“My triplet girls watched with me today, and you may see one of them on the show someday!”

Some have since reached out to Pistorius as they congratulated her for her gameplay after she missed out on winning the show.
