Fox 9 anchor and meteorologist Alex Lehnert has announced she is pregnant! The anchor shared the happy news in a post to her Instagram earlier this month. Following the meteorologist’s baby news, we take a look at her life away from her on-screen role.

Who is Fox 9’s Alex Lehnert?

Alex Lehnert will be a familiar face to Fox 9 viewers as an anchor and meteorologist for the Minneapolis, Minnesota, TV station. Before her role at Fox 9, Lehnert had stints on a few other regional TV stations.

She worked several roles including anchor, weather forecaster and producer at Casper, Wyoming, ABC affiliate KTWO. Lehnert also worked as a news reporter and weather forecaster in the Fresno, California, area.

Alex Lehnert announces she’s pregnant

Taking to Instagram in early February, Alex Lehnert revealed she and her husband are expecting their first child together.

Posing alongside her husband, Lehnert held up a baby grow while he was seen showing off a set of ultrasound shots.

In the caption of the sweet snap, Lehnert revealed their “new ray of sunshine” is due this summer, in August.

Meet Alex Lehnert’s husband

Alex Lehnert regularly features her husband on her Instagram as she shares sweet moments in their relationship.

While he often appears on Lehnert’s page, not much is known about him as his Instagram page is set to private.

The couple tied the knot late in September, when the meteorologist referred to her new husband as her “best friend”.
