If youve been on TikTok recently, youve probably noticed a new button called Holiday Share – but what does it mean?
What does ‘Holiday Share’ mean on TikTok?
The new ‘Holiday Share’ bubble lets you send a video link to friends with a cute holiday card as the cover.
You share the clip via any platform as normal, such as Snapchat, SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger or Instagram.
However, the video’s cover photo will have a cute holiday picture and message around it for the festive season.
TikTok hasnt announced how long the button will be there for, but its likely to stay until the end of December.
How to do a ‘Holiday Share’ on TikTok
To share a holiday card, the TikTok video must be related to Christmas in some way.
- Click on the arrow in the bottom-right hand corner
- Tap the Christmas tree icon that says ‘Holiday Share’
- Choose which platform you want to share it on
- Select the recipient and press ‘Send’
- The holiday card will now appear in the message
Three different holiday cards to choose from
When you click the button, you can scroll across and choose which holiday card you want to send.
The first one has a red background and gingerbread icon and says: “Festive joy and happy holidays.”
Peace, love, and joy this holiday season, the second adds with a snowman and presents.
The third option is a green Christmas tree card that says: “Festive cheer and warm wishes for all.”
