TikTok perfectly captures what it’s like to be a Stanley Cup girl
A hilarious skit of comedians doing impressions of Stanley Cup girls has gone viral on TikTok, leading many users to question their purchase decision.
Stanley Cups have taken over the world. Despite the brand being very well established for some time, the last few months have seen the insulated bottles skyrocket in popularity. That is, in part, due to TikTok.
The sketch went viral on TikTok
Content creator Chaz May (@allthatchazz) regularly produces skits and sketches that reduce TikTok to laughter. In one of her latest, she undertook the performance of a lifetime as a quintessential Stanley Cup girl.
Noticing one of her fellow Stanley Cup girls, Chaz saunters over (rather hilariously) to greet them. The following minute is a series of hilarious exchanges that paint a pretty clear picture of Stanley users.
As illustrated by Chazs TikTok, Stanley users, who are all wedding photographers, are typically big fans of Etsy. They are also huge lovers of Amazon, Bloom Nutrition, and Chick-fil-A. Stanley girls are also the type to enjoy home-decor signs with statements like live, laugh, and love plastered all over them.
Since posting, Chazs comedy sketch has accumulated over 353k likes, 2 million views, and thousands of adoring comments.

TikTok feels attacked
While most of the app saw the comedy in the clip, a large portion of viewers felt attacked by the accuracy of the jabs.
One person said: Not me with my Stanleys being a wedding photographer.
Is this in Utah? Because it definitely had Utah energy, another person joked, while someone else said, Never been more proud to not own a single Stanley cup. Haha.
Someone else chimed in: The sipping and walking did it for me.
Why are Stanley Cups so popular right now?
Stanley is not a new brand, nor are their cups the latest rollout, but you cant deny the sudden fascination with them. In just a few months, they have gone from the trusty cup of every construction worker to the must-have item for just about everyone.
Terence Reilly, global president of the Stanley brand, similarly explained in a press release: “The Quencher has become an internet sensation over the last two years,”, said in a release. “As it has quickly risen in popularity with restocks selling out in mere minutes and videos quickly going viral on social media.
The Atlantic Amanda Mull speculated about the dramatic increase in popularity while appearing on The Ringers Plain English podcast.
She said: Well, I think the legend of Stanley starts in 2017, and that is the year that a product recommendation website and Instagram account called the Buy Guide had just started up, and it chose the Stanley tumbler as one of its first recommendations.
The Buy Guide is run by three family members, and the website serves a disproportionately female and disproportionately Mormon audience.
And something that a lot of people who consume lifestyle content online might not realize is that Mormon moms are a huge, huge, influential group in how lifestyle and domestic trends move online.
