How to check Spotify time capsule

You can check the Spotify time capsule on the official website. If you had created the playlist in the bottle last year, you will arrive on a page that asks you to claim it.

All you have to do is click on the option to see the playlist you have saved. At the moment, it is unclear if Spotify plans to introduce a button within the app or website that automatically navigates to the time capsule from 2023.

Unlike wrapped, users would have to visit the website to obtain their playlist.

Can you create a time capsule in 2024?

If you missed the chance to create a playlist in 2023, you will be happy to know that the website allows you to make one for 2025. To do so, follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Visit the website mentioned above and click on ‘Get Started’.
  2. Select the capsule you want to put your playlist in. The options available are an actual bottle, a tiny pocket in your jeans, a gumball machine, a lunch box, a teddy bear, or a lil’ acorn,
  3. You will be asked to answer three questions: “A song you need to hear live in 2024,” “A song you’d pay to hear for the first time again,” and “A song that is going to be classic by next year.”
  4. Once you have made the selection, you will be asked to add in more songs or lock the ones you have.

If you lock the capsule, you will be able to view it in January 2025.

How is a time capsule different from wrapped?

In Spotify’s time capsule, users have the option of selecting the songs that they wish to hear as a playlist in 2024. Meanwhile, wrapped gives an overview of your listening pattern.

At the same time, wrapped also introduces other features, such as your top artists, favorite songs, and more.
