Hilarious ‘Of Course’ TikTok trend mocks stereotypes as Kim Kardashian and Mariah Carey get involved
You can get offended by funny stereotypes or just laugh it off. Leaning towards the latter, TikTok users are adding a funny touch to common perceptions about themselves with the ‘Of Course’ trend, which has now prompted celebrities to hop on board.
What is the ‘Of Course’ trend on TikTok?
Some things in life are obvious, or at least that’s what many think. The latest TikTok trend is born out of funny stereotypes about different aspects of life, which users are breaking with hilarious parodies.
For instance, one TikTok user – a participant in the viral trend – who works the night shift says in her video: “I’m a health worker all time. Of course, I need my caffeine”. It’s a common notion that people who work nights, especially medical professionals, are coffee addicts. But, it may not be always true.
In another video, a bunch of ladies from New Orleans joke about the obvious things that occur in the city.
When one user says: I am from New Orleans, of course, I’m locking my door as soon as I get in the car,” another adds: “I’m from New Orleans. Of course, I’m going to listen to bounce music at any time of the day.”
People of all age groups are eagerly participating in the new TikTok trend as they can’t wait to quash misconceptions about their lives, jobs, and more.
Mariah Carey and Kim Kardashian do the viral video challenge
Of course, Kim Kardashian and Mariah Carey had to hop on the viral video trend. Both stars offered fleeting glimpses of their daily life and business, but exaggeratedly.
While the singer, 54, posted a hilarious “clip depicting her daily routine which screams “Mariah Carey”, Kim resorted to flaunting the “most obvious” things that define her work life with the “SKKN Office Edition”.

In her clip, she is seen leaning over a desk with 3D models of her brain and her plane. ‘I’m Kim Kardashian. Of course, I have a 3D model of my brain and my plane in my office,” she says.
She also shows off a tanning bed and a red light bed in the same clip.
