Funny story about roller skater who ‘fell off stage during Super Bowl’ is fooling TikTok

A funny story about a roller skater who ‘fell off stage’ during Usher’s Super Bowl halftime show has gone viral on TikTok – but it’s all satire!

Louisa Melcher pretended she was one of the singer’s backup dancers in the viral video which has racked up more than 16 million views.

‘Roller skater fell off stage at Super Bowl’

“It’s me, I am the roller skater who fell off stage during Usher’s halftime show,” the TikTok user said. “I’ve been seeing all your guys’ memes so I figured it’s time to come on here and tell you guys that I did survive.”

Melcher convincingly used makeup to make it look like she had a black eye following the injury and joked that she lied about being “advanced at roller skating” on her resume to get the job.

“I was not cast until the day before the Super Bowl because one of the dancers had gotten covid and they needed an alternate that was the exact same height as her,” she continued deceivingly. “Obviously in hindsight, I should’ve turned down the job.”

She pretended she stayed up all night learning how to skate in the hotel parking lot, but the bright lights on the stage got in her way and the “skill was just not there,” so she accidentally “yeeted herself off the side of the stage”.

The fake story concluded with the roller skater landing on a tripod and “hitting like 30 things on the way to the ground”.

On the bright side, I did get to meet Taylor Swift and Blake Lively and hang out for a few minutes in their suite. They honestly couldn’t have been nicer 💕 #superbowl #superbowl2024 #usher #usherhalftime #halftimeshow #halftimeshow2024 #chiefs #taylorswift #blakelively
