Tesla releases a mini electric ATV for kids

American electric vehicle manufacturer and clean energy company Tesla recently released their latest product, a Cyberquad for Kids.

The four-wheel mini electric ATV is inspired by their iconic Cybertruck design and features a full steel frame, cushioned seat and adjustable suspension with rear disk braking and LED light bars.

Powered by a lithium-ion battery with up to 15 miles of range and a configurable top speed of 10 mph, Cyberquad for Kids is described as being suitable for anyone 8-years old and up.

The trending Tesla quadbike is reported to begin shipping in 2-4 weeks, with orders not guaranteed to arrive prior to the holidays.

Twitter users hope for a full-sized Cyberquad

Following the Cyberquad announcement at the start of December, Tesla’s latest product soon racked up a lot of hype on social media as parents suggested the motor would make it onto everyone’s Christmas list regardless of age.

Children aside, older Twitter users are desparate to get their hands on a Tesla Cyberquad for themselves and many are demanding the production of a full-sized ATV.

Some suggest an adult version could be coming out soon…

Could an adult version be in the making?

While Tesla is yet to confirm an upcoming Cyberquad for adults, it seems as though the Cyberquad for Kids can also be used for older riders!

Online, Tesla states that Cyberquad for Kids is suitable for anyone 8-years old and up. Although, there is a reported maximum rider weight of 150 lb (68 kg).

If the child version just isn’t enough to fulfil your four-wheel fantasy and you’re still waiting on the release of an adult version, here’s what we know at this time.

Tesla’s Cheif Designer Frank von Holzhausen hinted at the production of a full-sized bike as he took to Twitter with footage of himself riding a seemingly larger Cyberquad alongside a group of children.

In an accompanying caption, @woodhaus2 stated that the motor is so much fun for both kids and adults. Could this possibly mean there is hope?

There’s no indication when the full-size Cyberquad might start shipping (if at all) but speculations surrounding the vehicle have already begun online.

In the comments of a Twitter poll addressing cost predictions for an adult bike, a user named @fungineer43 calculated a potential price by adding the manufacturing fee with profit, equalling a price of $10,000 or higher if sold separately.

Converted to the pound sterling, that’s more than £7,531.95.

Keep a lookout for the potential adult Cyberquad announcement and don’t forget that Tesla’s Cybertruck is set to go on sale in 2022 in the US with prices starting at $39,900.
