Popular podcaster Pat McAfee’s wife Samantha Ludy revealed after the former NFL punter signed a huge sponsorship deal.

On Thursday, 9 December, it was revealed Pat McAfee had signed a massive sponsorship deal. McAfee is set to host Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers on his show on 22 February 2022, where it’s expected the pair will discuss the QB’s future.

The former Colts punter has become an immensely popular sports personality, but what do we know about his personal life?

Who is Pat McAfee’s wife Samantha?

Pat McAfee’s wife is Samantha McAfee (nee Ludy), whom the podcaster married in 2020. The couple had been dating for a number of years before Pat proposed in 2019. McAfee popped the question after taking Samantha on a helicopter ride to a waterfall.

He wrote on Twitter at the time: “I finally asked @Sami_lynn24 if she’d spend forever with me… She said yes, we both smiled, laughed, and cried a bit in front of a waterfall and then ate sandwiches in front of the bird that flew us there… Yesterday was awesome. I’m the luckiest dude on this here planet.”

Their wedding ceremony took place in August 2020, with his wedding registry reportedly being at a Target store.

“Yesterday was a great day. My lady and I said ‘yup” to forever together in front of a great group of humans,” Pat posted on social media. “My wife is the best and an absolute rocket ship. I’m the luckiest man to ever grace this here planet. I appreciate you all more than you could fathom for following along.”

Samantha McAfee is a graduate of Center Grove High and attended the University of Southern Indiana. She’s an animal-lover and worked in a pet store when she was younger. She also worked at a bar but decided to volunteer at animal shelters.

Samantha recently revealed she suffered a miscarriage

On 29 November 2021, Samantha sadly revealed she had suffered a miscarriage. She revealed she had to go to the emergency room after waking up in “extreme pain”.

“I am heartbroken to have that taken from us,” she wrote on Instagram.

Per the NY Post, the couple are now unable to conceive naturally but Samantha wrote on Instagram: “It’s awesome to know science has other ways to get pregnant. We will be diving into the world of IVF when we are ready. But, right now, I’m focused on the road to recovery.”

On Thursday, 9 November, it was revealed Pat McAfee had signed a massive sponsorship deal with FanDuel. McAfee’s show is already sponsored by the company, but NFL insider Ian Rapoport revealed a four-year extension had been agreed.

The deal will see McAfee’s popular podcast, The Pat McAfee Show, rake in roughly $30 million per year, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
