Meet Georgia Taylor-Brown’s parents Darryl and Beverley, who are both as athletic as the Team GB triathlon star.

Georgia Taylor-Brown is a British triathlete who won the silver medal in the 2020 Olympic triathlon, the best ever result by a female triathlete for Great Britain.

She also won the gold medal for Great Britain with Jess Learmonth, Jonathan Brownlee and Alex Yee in the Triathlon Mixed Relay.

Georgia is competing at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham where she has the chance to go on better than Tokyo.

Georgia Taylor-Brown’s parents are incredibly athletic

The triathlete was born in Manchester, England in 1994 but is now based in Leeds where she trains at the Leeds Triathlon Centre. She moved to Leeds in 2012 to study for a degree in Sports and Exercise Science at Leeds Beckett University.

Georgia Taylor-Brown’s parents are incredibly athletics, and it’s not hard to see where she got her talents from.

Her father, Darryl Taylor, was a middle-distance runner who was once ranked GB’s number one in the men’s 800m.

Per, he had a personal best of 1min 48secs, and competed against two-time Olympic champion, and now World Athletics president, Sebastian Coe.

Georgia’s mum, Beverley, was also a national level swimmer and a club runner. She competed in county competitions for Sale Harriers in Manchester.

Georgia was a talented cross-country runner at school before being drafted into British Triathlon’s Olympic Development Squad. She has swam since the age of five and started running when she was 12.

Georgia and boyfriend Josh Edmndson live together

Georgia Taylor-Brown’s boyfriend is Josh Edmondson, a former pro cyclist. Edmundson most recently rode for British amateur team Crimson Orientation Marketing RT. Earlier in his career, he rode for UCI World Tour squad Team Sky in 2013 and 2014.

Josh and Georgia live together in Leeds along with their dog, Alfie. She recently uploaded a video to Instagram of Josh and Alfie cycling together:
