Here’s our latest West Ham transfer update.

Earlier this week we reported on the Hammers’ links to nine players, including Matias Vecino, Amadou Diawara and Lassina Traore.

Here’s today’s news and gossip from the West Ham camp.

West Ham transfer update – possible signings

West Ham reporter Roshane Thomas has told the U Irons Podcast the club will be “patient” in their approach to find a replacement for striker Sebastien Haller.

Thomas suggested the club is assessing its options to find the “right player”.

Nevertheless, the Hammers have been linked to five players – not all of them strikers!

Boulaye Dia

West Ham are set to approach Reims for striker Boulaye Dia, according to Eurosport.

The Hammers see the Ligue 1 man as an alternative to their top target, Olivier Giroud, whose transfer seems unlikely to be sanctioned by Chelsea this month.

Pau Lopez and Thomas Strakosha

According to Calciomercato, West Ham have made a move to sign Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha.

It’s claimed West Ham then tried to get Pau Lopez from Roma on loan after Strakosha, a 6ft 4in Albania international, turned them down.

Although the move for a goalkeeper may come as a surprise to some Hammers fans, it appears former Tottenham goalkeeper Lopez doesn’t want to move to London either.

Luka Jovic

West Ham are set miss out on Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic, according to Adi Hutter. The Eintracht Frankfurt coach told Spox the Serbian striker is heading back to Frankfurt.

Wolverhampton Wanderers were also keen on Jovic but the Irons had lost interest anyway because of his £85,000-a-week salary, according to Defensa Central.
