Leeds will be looking to recover from the 6-2 defeat against Manchester United this weekend when they host Burnley on Sunday.

The match is a big one at the lower end of the table, with Leeds sitting 14th on 17 points, two places and four points ahead of Sean Dyche’s side.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Leeds midfielder Mateusz Klich has delivered his verdict on Burnley.

He referenced set pieces as a potential danger, which is an area Leeds have struggled in of late.

“We have to win this game,” said Klich. “Burnley defend very well as a team and they’re very hard to beat.

“It’s going to be a very demanding game for us because we won’t have much space and we have to create a lot of chances and at the same time be very focused on the set-pieces because they also are dangerous at set pieces.

“We’ve played many games like this, it is a hard game to play because you need to break them down somehow and they are quite strong.”

Leeds have found it tough on set pieces of late. Sunday’s game could well be a tight one and the Whites can’t afford to give up a goal from the dead ball again.

If Leeds do get the win, it will give them a boost for the rest of the Christmas period and allow them to push on into mid-table.

Lose, and Burnley would be one point behind them with a game in hand. They don’t want to get dragged slowly towards the drop zone, so it’s a big game.

With West Brom to come afterwards, Leeds face two physical challenges within a matter of days, against sides who will be down there come the end of the season.

It could be a big few days.
