Nicolas Gonzalez

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has told the Last Word On Spurs podcast Tottenham target Nicolas Gonzalez’s agent is in contact with a host of clubs.

The Argentine winger is currently at Stuttgart and has five goals in ten Bundesliga appearances this season.

Juventus are another club rumoured to be interested in the 22-year-old.

Tottenham transfer update – potential departures

Lucas Moura

A number of clubs are interested in Tottenham winger Lucas Moura, according to Romano, while speaking on the Last Word On Spurs podcast.

The transfer expert has admitted a deal this month appears unlikely but he thinks Moura could leave Spurs in the summer.

Moura began the campaign in the starting line-up but has largely been used from the bench in recent months.

Toby Alderweireld

Ajax manager Erik Ten Hag has played down reports that Toby Alderweireld could return to the Dutch club, as reported by ESPN, via Goal.

Alderweireld came through the renowned Ajax youth system before leaving for Atletico Madrid in 2013.

He has spent the past six years at Spurs but Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen to bring in another centre-half, signalling Alderweireld’s time in north London could be coming to an end.

Harry Winks

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has claimed Villarreal and Sevilla are both keen on Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks.

The 24-year-old has been limited to eight league appearances this season. However, he has come back into favour after a string of impressive displays in the past month.

Balague doesn’t expect Winks to move in January but claims a summer switch is possible.

Erik Lamela

Romano added on Last Word On Spurs that Erik Lamela is keen to return to Italy.

Since arriving from Roma in 2013, Lamela’s Spurs career has been hampered by injuries and inconsistent form.

He is now expected to end his eight-year stay in the capital at the end of the season.

Ones who got away

Milan Skriniar

Romano has also claimed on his Here We Go podcast that Tottenham are now looking at alternatives to Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.

Spurs have been linked with Skriniar since the summer but a move has failed to materialise.

Skriniar has become a regular under Antonio Conte at Inter this season and now looks set to stay in Serie A.

LA Galaxy full-back Julian Araujo won’t be moving to Spurs this month, according to Alasdair Gold, speaking on his YouTube channel.

The teenage right-back has been attracting admirers with his performances Stateside.
