Here’s a round-up of the latest news surrounding Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs are waiting to make their first signing of this January transfer window but the rumour mill continues to link players to the club.

Possible Tottenham signings

Issa Diop

Spurs have been resolute at the back this season, boasting the second-best defensive record with just 15 goals conceded.

But according to Football London, manager Jose Mourinho still wants to strengthen his defence.

Having missed out on Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar in the summer, Mourinho looks set to turn his attention to West Ham’s Diop.

Merih Demiral

The 22-year-old was a regular for Juventus at the start of the season but an injury has kept him out of action for more than a month.

He could be set for a return to Juve’s starting XI soon but Fanatik claims Tottenham will interrupt proceedings by making a bid for the defender this month.

The Italian club has reportedly put a price tag of €50 million (£45.2 million) on the young Turkey international.

Kyle Joseph

Tottenham are preparing a second bid for Wigan Athletic striker Kyle Joseph, according to The Sun.

Joseph, 19, was the subject of a £150,000 bid from Spurs in the summer but the Scotland youth player turned down the move.

Possible Tottenham departures

Gedson Fernandes

The 21-year-old arrived on an 18-month loan deal from Portuguese club Benfica this time last year. However, he certainly hasn’t had the impact he would have hoped for.

The midfielder has been handed little more than one hour of playing time by Mourinho this season and is set to be recalled by Benfica later this month, according to the Evening Standard.

Danny Rose

The left-back’s contract expires this summer but Sky Sports claims Tottenham are willing to let Rose go this month.

The 30-year-old hasn’t been included in any of Mourinho’s squads this season and didn’t even receive a shirt number for the campaign.

Paulo Gazzaniga

Sky Sports also claims the north London outfit is ready to listen to offers for goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga. He has fallen to third choice in the pecking order behind Hugo Lloris and Joe Hart.

The Argentine has 18 months left on his current deal but is looking for a new club this month as he seeks regular game time.
