After British no.7 Jack Draper reached the quarter-final at Queens, people want to know more about the teenage sensation. The youngster faces world number 1 Novak Djokovic in the first round at Wimbledon, so before that here’s everything you need to know about him.

Jack Draper – background and history as a junior

Jack Draper is a British tennis player who was born on 22 December 2001 in Sutton, United Kingdom. He is 19 years of age.

The rising tennis star first made a name for himself by finishing runner-up in the 2018 Wimbledon Championships Boys’ Singles.

That year, he achieved a career high junior ranking of 7.

He was subsequently awarded a wild card to the 2019 Wimbledon Championships Men’s Doubles tournament and the singles qualification.

He lost in the first round to Japanese world no. 182 Yasutaka Uchiyama.

His 2021 season so far

Before joining the main circuit, the youngster started climbing through the ranks on the ITF circuit.

He had a particularly strong 2019, claiming three titles including one at ITF Sunderland.

However, he has really excelled in 2021.

Draper made his ATP main draw singles debut as a wild card at the 2021 Miami Open.

He faced Mikhail Kukushkin but unfortunately had to retire after collapsing on court due to heat exhaustion.

At the 2021 cinch Championships at Queen’s in June 2021, the teenager stunned Italian third seed and world no.23 Jannik Sinner to secure his first ATP Tour win.

The wild card came from 4-0 down in the first set to win 7-6 (8-6) 7-6 (7-2) in their first-round match.

What is Jack Draper’s ranking?

Draper is currently 253 in the ATP rankings after beating Alexander Bublik in the Round of 16 at Queens.

He lost to fellow Brit Cameron Norrie in the quarter-final, 6-3, 6-3.

What is Jack Draper’s net worth?

It’s difficult to estimate Jack Draper’s net worth given his relatively short career to date.

However, it’s estimated he has already made about $75,000 in prize money and tournament appearances alone.

Expect that figure to increase dramatically should he continue to do well at Queens.

Does he have a girlfriend?

It seems as though Jack Draper does not have a girlfriend, and is single at the moment.

He has never spoken about his dating life in the media before, while his social media accounts are absent of any potential partner.

Draper previously spoke about the travelling side of tennis, which presumably makes finding time to date all the more difficult.

“Players at lower levels have to go and grind in horrible places and only see their bedroom and the tennis court for two weeks,” Draper said.

“The travelling is difficult – I struggle massively with it. And it’s not as though you can just have a couple of months off to clear your head,” he added.
