Rangers cruised into the last 16 of the Europa League with a 5-2 victory over Royal Antwerp at Ibrox last night.

The Gers won 9-5 on aggregate and Alfredo Morelos was key in both games.

He made five key passes in an outstanding display last week, and four last night – as well as opening the scoring.

And he also earned admiration from last night’s opposition for his sportsmanship.

He stopped an attack which could have led to another Rangers goal to allow an opposing player to get treatment.

Morelos has a reputation with some opposing fans over his disciplinary record in the past.

But he showed his class on this occasion and earned praise from both his own club and Antwerp.

He has developed into a more all-round striker this season and Steven Gerrard knows he can rely on him.

He’ll be hugely important if Rangers are to continue their European adventure.

Their next opponents will be revealed during the draw which takes place a t noon today.
