Rodrigo Moreno has returned to training ahead of Leeds United’s important match against Arsenal on Sunday after recovering from coronavirus, according to the Yorkshire Post.

The attacker informed the club he contracted covid-19 on 3 November but has self-isolated and is said to be feeling healthy.

Rodrigo missed the defeats to Leicester City and Crystal Palace and will be looking to make an impact this weekend.

Injury boost

Leeds signed Rodrigo for a club-record fee of £26 million from La Liga side Valencia in the summer.

The Spaniard has scored once in six league games this season for the Yorkshire club, who sit 15th in the Premier League.

His last appearance in Leeds colours was on 23 October, when United beat Aston Villa 3-0 at Villa Park.

The 29-year-old had a solid record in Spain. He scored 59 goals and created 41 assists in 220 games for Valencia.

The winger made his debut for the Spanish national team in 2014 and has amassed 25 caps and scored eight times.

Rodrigo return

Leeds now have another option to their attack, which has been impressive so far this season with 14 goals in eight league games.

Fellow striker Patrick Bamford has bagged seven league goals already this season, only one less than four players who have managed eight.

Here is how some Leeds fans reacted on Twitter to news of Rodrigo’s return:
