The agent of Reims striker Boulaye Dia says West Ham have been in talks with him over a January swoop.
As per Telefoot, via Le 10 Sport, Frédéric Guerra said that the Hammers are interested in his client, who is weighing up whether it’s best to leave in January or the summer.
West Ham just sold Sebastien Haller to Ajax and need a new striker to come in and replace him this month.
Last month, Arsenal were credited with an interest in Dia by Le 10 Sport, along with Everton, but have seemingly seen their London rivals make the first move.

“We talked a lot last month with West Ham,” said the agent. “But we haven’t moved forward.
“He’s a player that interests them. Especially with the situation with Covid, offers are rare during the winter window.
“We’re asking these questions, whether it’s better to leave now or this summer. Of course it’s safe to accept West Ham this winter but it’s also closing doors for this summer.
“Italian clubs are interested, so are clubs in Spain and Germany. If you choose West Ham, you give up on the others.”

Haller’s departure means that Michail Antonio is West Ham’s only senior striker and that makes their need to recruit Dia very acute.
Le 10 Sport report that Dia is their choice to replace Haller but his agent doesn’t sound especially sold on the idea.
Arsenal’s need for firepower doesn’t feel as pressing after three wins in a row, scoring eight goals.
But Dia has ten goals this season – only Kylian Mbappe has more in Ligue 1 – and bringing a red-hot hitman to the Emirates Stadium may appeal to Mikel Arteta.
