Manchester City’s record goalscorer will leave the club at the end of the season – but where is Sergio Aguero going?

The Times report that the Argentine is not short of suitors when he leaves the Etihad on a free transfer in the summer.

Spanish giants Barcelona want Aguero, as they seek to reshape their squad but without a substantial budget with which to do it.

Paris Saint-Germain are also keen and Aguero could score plenty of goals if fielded between Neymar and Kylian Mbappe up front.

The pace of the game is slower in Italy, which might suit Aguero at this stage of his career.

There’s interest from there too, with Juventus and Inter Milan both apparently keen.

Juventus are currently locked into paying an absolute fortune to Cristiano Ronaldo and another expensive, aging striker might not be the best idea.

Inter’s finances are also currently up in the air.

Eurosport reported yesterday that City could be keen on Romelu Lukaku, sp perhaps replacing him with Aguero on a free could raise some funds.

Independiente, where Agüero started his career, are also keen and their secretary Hector Maldonado said: I’d love for Kun Agüero to come back to Argentina and play for Independiente.

“He left our club and I hope we can convince him to come home. He left when [Julio] Falcioni was manager, and we hope that he can come back to work under him again.”

‘Several’ MLS clubs are also said to be keen, which adds up to a minimum of six clubs but is actually probably closer to ten in actual fact.

Aguero will leave as a City legend and he has some interesting proposals on the table as he embarks on the next chapter of his career.
