Wolves host Crystal Palace tomorrow night, with the likes of Willy Boly, Daniel Podence, Marcal, Raul Jimenez, Jonny & Leander Dendoncker suffering injuries of varying lengths.

Nuno Espirito Santo offered an update on the fitness of those six players ahead of the game.

He told the club’s official website about the progress made by the stars at different stages of their recovery.

“We’re improving with a lot of issues, but know they are coming back,” said Nuno.

“Daniel [Podence] had a knock in the game against Man United, he’s out. He’s improving but is only in the gym and recovering. Marcal is more or less in the same situation.

“We have [Willy] Boly, he’s a little bit more ahead, hopefully he can join us soon. Raul [Jimenez] is progressing well. He’s improving, he’s doing exercises now. We are sure he’s coming back. That is good.

“Jonny is progressing well. Leander [Dendoncker] joined the session and is getting back. He trained so he will join the squad and we will decide.”

Dendoncker appears to be the closest to a return, having returned to training ahead of the clash with Roy Hodgson’s men.

The Belgian has missed the past four matches with injury and it remains to be seen whether he will face the Eagles.

Nuno prefers to operate with a small squad which poses a question for him in terms of rotation in the FA Cup.

Tomorrow’s game might well represent a chance for some of Nuno’s younger players to get a game with senior stars having earned a break over the busy festive period.
