Who is Jim Fassel’s son?
Jim Fassel’s son, John, confirmed the sad news to the Los Angeles Times on Monday night.
John Fassel said he received a phone call Monday afternoon with the tragic news.
John is special teams co-ordinator for the Dallas Cowboys, and was previously special teams co-ordinator and interim head coach for the Los Angeles Rams.
He has also spent time as a special teams coach for the Ravens and Raiders.
John Fassel has two daughters, Lilah and Avery, with wife Elizabeth. Lilah and Avery are therefore Jim Fassel’s grandchildren.

Jim Fassel’s wife, Kitty Fassel
Jim was married to Kitty Fassel from 1971 to 2006.
They separated in 2006 but later reconciled and remarried.
Also, it’s not known whether they divorced each other in 2006 or Kitty died that year.
The couple reportedly had three children together, including John Fassel.
The eldest son, John, however, was put up for adoption three days after his birth due to the fact they were unmarried at the time.
Jim Fassel’s other children
As well as John Fassel, John had four other children, although little is known about them.
The names of two are Brian, and John Mathieson.
Nothing is known of Brian but John Mathieson reportedly spent several decades away from John and Kitty after being put up for adoption in 1969.
In 2003, the Fassels finally reunited with John Mathieson, who at the time was living at his adoptive parents’ house — Tom and Dorothy Rogers.
“For John, Kitty and myself, we have lived with an unanswerable question for all these years. If someone had granted us one wish in the world, it would always have been to be together and to know things were OK. Instead you carry this question around with you and you never know how it will come out. So to have a day like today, it is a miracle,” Jim said at the time.
