Desmond Ridder put in yet another outstanding performance in college football for the Bearcats at the weekend but who is the QB’s girlfriend and do they have children? Who are his parents? Let’s take a look…

Ridder starred for the Bearcats in their 48-14 win on Senior Day versus SMU Mustangs on Saturday (20 November). The QB threw for 274 yards for three touchdowns as he continues to stake his claim for a good draft spot to the NFL.

In the game, he produced not only passing and rushing TDs for the Bearcats, but a receiving TD of his own. It was the first of his impressive college career.

However, his performances have left some wanting to know a little more about the quarterback. Let’s take a look:

Desmond Ridder girlfriend revealed

Ridder, born in Louisville, Kentucky, in October 1999 has been in a relationship with Claire Cornett since 2016.

The two met in high school and continued their relationship after Ritter moved to Cincinnati to enrol in the college football programme.

They got engaged in 2018, but have yet to marry. In April 2021, their first child, a daughter, was born. The couple named her Leighton Elizabeth Ridder.

What is Ridder’s height and weight?

Ridder stands at 6ft 4in (1.93m). The average height for quarterbacks in the NFL is 6ft 3in.

He tops the scales at 215lb (15.3 stone). This is a similar physique to the likes of Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson and slightly lighter than Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers.

Ridder did think about declaring for the 2021 NFL draft but decided against entering the lottery.

Instead, he returned for his senior year in the 2021 campaign ahead of a potential draft in 2022.

Who are his parents?

When he was born Ridder’s mother, Sarah, was only 15 years old. Ridder’s biological father wasn’t around and his young mother raised him by herself, with help from her mother.

And what a son she has raised. Ridder is certainly a QB to keep an eye on.
