Who is Cris Collinsworth’s wife, Holly Bankemper?
Cris Collinsworth met Holly Bankemper during his days at the University of Cincinnati, when they were law-school classmates. Holly graduated in 1988, while Cris left in 1991. The couple married in 1989 and, while Cris went down the media route, Holly continues to practise law.
“The one thing I learned from five years of law school is I definitely didn’t want to be an attorney – so it worked out great,” Collinsworth told the Enquirer (via Heavy).
Collinsworth and Holly live in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, where they have strong foundations. Holly grew up there and her parents still live there, which is why the family has never moved.
Holly keeps out of the limelight and generally lets Cris do his thing. She rarely gives interviews or speaks publicly but has been spotted with her husband and their family on Instagram.
Cris Collinsworth’s children
Cris Collinsworth and his wife have four children – Katie, Austin, Ashley and Jac. Their son, Austin, had success playing high-school football and went on to play at the University of Notre Dame. However, he missed his junior season with an injury that pretty much ended his career.
“It’s sad. It’s the end of my football career more than likely, but going out with the guys I went out with, I honestly – this is the truth – I love those guys,” Austin reportedly told NCAA.com. However, during his time at Notre Dame, dad Cris joked: “A lot more people come up to me and say, ‘aren’t you Austin’s dad?’ than the other way around.”
Cris Collinsworth’s daughter Ashley went to Harvard and ran track. She graduated in 2015 with a bachelor’s in psychology.
Their other son, Jac, joined ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown as a features reporter and previously worked for NBC during the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Their other daughter, Katie, is at Golf Channel’s GolfNow, working as a manager in business marketing.
