Here’s everything we know about Sean McDermott’s wife Jamie and their children as the Buffalo Bills head coach bids for a Super Bowl.
The Buffalo Bills were among the Super Bowl favorites heading into the 2022-23 NFL season. Despite having a 7-3 record, good enough for 2nd in the AFC East, they have two out of their last three games.
On Thanksgiving they face the Detroit Lions with head coach Sean McDermott look to get back in the win column. McDermott has been with the Bills since 2017 after serving as the defensive coordinator for the Eagles and Panthers.
With McDermott at the helm the Bills’ fortunes have turned around, making the 2020 AFC Championship game for the first time since 1993.
Sean McDermott and wife Jamie have been together since high school
Sean McDermott’s wife is Jamie McDermott, who the Bills coach has been with since his high school days. They both attended La Salle College High School in Pennsylvania where they first met.
They stayed together while Sean completed a Bachelor’s degree in finance at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virgina.
Sean and Jamie currently reside in Orchard Park, New York with their family. The couple have a son Gavin, and two daughters, Maddie and Kelly.
During the covid-19 pandemic, Sean joined Good Morning Football with all three of his kids and spoke about how the virtual offseason was affecting both family and football.
They do a lot for the Bills community
Jamie McDermott is not on social media and mostly keeps out of the spotlight. However, they are known to do a lot in the local community, donating meals to hospital staff during the pandemic.
They are also involved in many foundations and non-profit organizations, including Give 716 Day, an initiative that celebrates the city of Buffalo and the people who work hard in it.
In 2021 they donated a money for more than 500 Western New York-based nonprofit organizations.
“We were overwhelmed with the response to Give 716 last year, seeing how much our fans came together to support the nonprofits that do so much for our community,” Sean and Jamie said in a statement. “Today, together with the Bills and Sabres Foundations, we are pledging to match the first $50,000 in fan donations to Give716. It’s a small token of our appreciation for the incredible work that these organizations do every single day.”
