James Conner has reignited his NFL career at the Arizona Cardinals after leaving Pittsburgh, but who are Conner’s parents as he continues to exceed expectations?
Running-back Conner left the Pittsburgh Steelers at the end of the 2020 season after four years, becoming a free agent.
He signed to the Cardinals – who felt his size and power could compliment the smaller, nimbler Chase Edmonds.
And so it has proved to be.
In 13 games in the 2021 season, as of December 14th, Conner has recorded 179 rushing attempts for 661 yards.
His 14 rushing touchdowns is a career best, eclipsing the 12 he got in 2018.
Who are Conner’s parents as he continues to impress in the Cardinals offense?
Let’s take a look.

James Conner’s parents revealed
Conner was born in May 1995 to mother Kelly Patterson and father Glen Conner Sr in Erie, Pennsylvania.
He is the youngest of five brothers after Glen, Richard, Michael and Rico.
Rico is a step-brother after mother Kelly remarried.
Conner has remained close to both his mother and father, and in the recent past, has brought both of them expensive gifts.
In 2020, he brought mother Kelly a new house.
He followed that up by buying father Glen a new truck, posting the moment to social media.
Why did he leave Pittsburgh?
Having been signed by the Steelers in the third round of the 2017 draft, Connor was allowed to test free-agency after the 2020 season had concluded.
He had had a strong start to NFL life, making 973 yards for the team in 2018.
However, injuries started to plague him towards the end of his time in Pittsburgh.
He signed for the Cardinals in April, 2021.
The RB has helped them to 10-3 for the season, although they suffered a 30-23 defeat at home to the Rams on MNF on December 13th.
