After another disappointing loss, New York Giants fans have been asking whether Eli Manning is coming out of retirement anytime soon to alleviate their struggles.

The Manningcast returned on Monday, 23 November covering the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs the New York Giants.

It was a game close to co-host Eli Manning’s heart. The legendary QB was part of two incredible Super Bowl wins with the Giants.

However, the Giants are struggling right now, and were easily swept aside by Brady and the Bucs in Week 11.

Giants no match for Buccanneers

It was a routine win for the defending champions at Raymond James Stadium on Monday.

Coming off the back of two straight losses, the Bucs cruised to a 30-10 victory against the Giants.

Tom Brady threw 307 passing yards and two touchdowns as the Bucs compounded the Giants’ struggles. They are currently 3-7 this season and looked no better off with running back Saquon Barkley and left tackle Andrew Thomas back from injury.

The Giants now face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

‘Is Eli Manning coming out of retirement?’

Manning is a Giants legend, holding franchise records for passing yards, touchdown passes, and completions. He was also part of the biggest upset in NFL history when the wildcard Giants beat the undefeated Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.

However, even towards the end of Eli’s time in New York the team was struggling. When he retired after the 2019 season, the team finished the season with a 4-12 record.

The year after, they finished with a 6-10 record, and this season they are bottom of the NFC East with a 3-7 record.

After their demolition at the hands of Tom Brady recently, fans asked whether Eli Manning was coming out of retirement to help them.

Eli has many other ventures that keep him busy

Despite Giants fans calling for the quarterback to return, Eli Manning is not coming out of retirement.

Eli Manning is very much retired and evidently has no plans to change that. However, in June Manning did rejoin the Giants in a business operations and fan engagement role.

He’s also busy with his media career. Manning joined ESPN as an NFL analyst for the 2021 season and is part of the hugely popular Manningcast on ESPN.

Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli sees the legendary brothers give insights into games while bringing on special guests.

Eli also hosts Eli’s Places for ESPN+, where he travels to “some of the most well-known and historic college football establishments and meet with giants in the sport to better understand what makes college football such a national sensation”.

Sorry Giants fans, he’s not coming back any time soon.
