The former Colts QB was interviewed at the national championship game between Alabama and Georgia recently. However, after being spotted with a much skinnier look, fans questioned if Andrew Luck is sick.

Andrew Luck is a former Indianapolis Colts quarterback who was a standout player in college for Stanford. He was selected no.1 overall in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Colts, and played for the franchise until 2019.

Luck was a four-time Pro Bowler and 2018 Comeback Player of the Year, but in 2019 he rather abruptly retired. He made a rare public appearance at the national championship game between Alabama and Georgia recently. However, some fans were concerned about Andrew Luck’s skinny look and asked if he’s sick.

Andrew Luck appears at national championship game

Andrew Luck was in attendance at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis recently for the title game between the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs.

The 32-year-old joined fellow 2012 NFL Draft classmate Robert Griffin III for the ESPN pregame broadcast, where he spoke about the upcoming game and what to expect.

Is Andrew Luck sick?

Luck was rocking an impressive moustache during the broadcast, and also had a much skinnier frame than fans were used to seeing. His height is listed as 1.93 m, while his weight, at least during his playing days, is listed at 106kg.

However, the former QB has noticeably lost weight since retiring in 2019 and people on social media were asking if Andrew Luck is sick.

However, fans will be glad to know that Andrew Luck’s skinny frame is not because he is sick, rather, that he has just lost some weight after his playing days.

Luck retired from football at 29-years-old, as his body took a beating during his career with the Colts. The mental and physical strain of going through rehab repeatedly eventually took its toll, and he decided to walk away from the sport.

“I’m in pain, I’m still in pain. It’s been four years of this pain, rehab cycle,” Luck said at the time. “It’s a myriad of issues – calf strain, posterior ankle impingement, high ankle sprain. Part of my journey going forward will be figuring out how to feel better.”

While some fans were concerned with his look, others were pleased to see Luck smiling and looking generally happy as a family man, without the pressures of football on his shoulders.

What has Andrew Luck been up to since retiring?

After so long in the spotlight, Luck pretty much faded into anonymity post his NFL career. During the broadcast last night, Robert Griffin III asked Luck what he had been doing since retiring.

“Full-time daddy duty,” he said. “It’s been a complete joy.”

In 2019, Luck married his longtime girlfriend Nicole Pechanec, and in June that year they announced that they were expecting their first child. The couple had their first child, a daughter named Lucy, who was born in November 2019.
