Here’s a round-up of the latest transfer news surrounding Newcastle United.

Earlier this week we reported the Magpies had been linked with Brandon Williams and Hamza Choudhury, while providing an update on the future of Dwight Gayle.

Newcastle United transfer update – possible signings

Djibril Sidibe

Newcastle have expressed their interest in World Cup winner Djibril Sidibe, as reported by Foot Mercato.

The former Everton full-back is currently on the books of Monaco and has made ten league appearances this season.

Marseille are also said to be keen on the 28-year-old.

Fikayo Tomori

Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori is now more likely to join Newcastle than Leeds, according to The Athletic.

Tomori has fallen down the pecking order under Frank Lampard this season. Leeds have been linked with the 23-year-old England international but are set to resist the temptation to bring in a centre-back in January, despite their injury crisis at the back.

This leaves Newcastle seemingly in pole position for Tomori.

Andy Carroll

The Daily Mail reports Sam Allardyce is keen to bring Andy Carroll to West Brom.

Carroll scored his first goal since returning to the club in last week’s 2-1 defeat to Leicester City. He has largely been used from the bench this season.

The 32-year-old is out of contract in the summer and Newcastle may be happy to let him go this month.
