Here’s the latest transfer news involving Newcastle United.
Earlier this week we reported on the Magpies’ interest in Andy Delort and Djed Spence, whilst suggesting that a move for Fikayo Tomori could be slipping away.
Let’s take a look at the updated transfer news coming out of St James’ Park.
Possible arrivals
Faouzi Ghoulam
According to Le Buteur, Newcastle are interested in Napoli left-back Faouzi Ghoulam.
The Algerian international has been at Napoli since 2014, making almost 200 appearances for the club.
However, he has fallen down the pecking order in recent seasons following a spate of injury problems.
Denzel Dumfries
Newcastle target Denzel Dumfries has expressed an interest in playing in the Premier League, as reported by Voetbal International.
The full-back has 10 caps for the Dutch national side, and has claimed that a move to the Premier League or Bundesliga would ‘suit my game’.

Potential departures
Dwight Gayle
The Athletic reports that Dwight Gayle could depart Tyneside on a free transfer this summer, against the wishes of manager Steve Bruce.
Gayle has been limited to just four league appearances this season due to injury. He did net the winning goal against West Brom last month to show that he still has plenty to offer.
That does not appear to have convinced the Newcastle board to offer him a new contract, though.

Newcastle have been reportedly interested in the 26-year-old, but appear to have been beaten to his signature by the Serie A leaders.

Andy Delort
Montpellier forward Andy Delort has claimed on his Twitter that he will remain at the club this month.
Newcastle have been linked with the striker as they look to solve their issues in the final third.
Yet Delort, who has scored eight goals in 17 Ligue 1 appearances this season, is adamant that he will stay in France for now.

Siriki Dembele
Peterborough director of football Barry Fry has told the Peterborough Telegraph that Siriki Dembele will not be departing the club this month.
The 24-year-old forward has shone in League One this season. He has scored five goals and provided five assists in 18 games.
Fry insists that Peterborough have no interest in selling Dembele, with Newcastle, Celtic and Wolves all reported to be monitoring the striker.
