Newcastle transfer update – potential signings
Alan Velasco
El Intransigente reports Newcastle are interested in Independiente’s 18-year-old left-winger Alan Velasco.
The talented youngster has been involved in six goals and three assists for the Argentine side.
Velasco has also gained admiring glances from Italian side Parma and Mexican outfit Club America.
Demarai Gray
Newcastle are reportedly in the running to sign Leicester City winger Demarai Gray, amid speculation Everton are also keen.
Following comments made by Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers to Sky Sports, it is believed the Magpies have made contact over the Foxes’ out-of-favour forward.
It is believed neither Everton nor Newcastle have formally submitted a bid for the 24-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer.

Joshua King
Newcastle will wait until the summer transfer window to sign Bournemouth forward Joshua King, according to the Sun.
King has been linked to a reunion with former Cherries forward Callum Wilson at St James’ Park.
Wilson has suffered injuries this season and King would be an ideal replacement as well as a willing partner up front.
However, any delay may allow Everton to nip ahead of the Magpies.

M’Bala Nzola
Newcastle have been linked with Spezia striker M’Bala Nzola and the reported interest has flattered the Frenchman, according to FantaCalcio.

In what is his first Serie A campaign, Nzola has scored eight goals and provided one assist in 12 matches.
The 24-year-old is a talented marksman and would certainly provide the Magpies with extra fire-power.

Phil Jones
90min reports Manchester United’s out-of-favour centre-back Phil Jones is a target for Newcastle.
The Magpies face losing up to six defenders in the summer and could do with a player of Jones’ experience.
According to 90Min, manager Steve Bruce is a fan of the defender, who joined Man United from Blackburn Rovers in July 2011.

Brandon Williams
Newcastle have reportedly ended their interest in Manchester United’s Brandon Williams, according to the Northern Echo.
The Chronicle previously reported the two parties had reached agreement over a loan deal.
However, the Red Devils have now ruled out any move this month, with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisting Williams remains at Old Trafford.
