First Take was on ESPN today (Monday 10 September), however, the regular host was absent, prompting many fans to question where Molly Qerim Rose is and if she’s ok.

First Take is one of the most popular sports shows on television and the jewel in ESPN’s crown. Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim Rose have been a staple of the show for many years, and are responsible for making the show what it is today.

However, Molly has been missing from her hosting duties recently, prompting a number of questions from fans online.

Fans ask, ‘Where is Molly Qerim Rose on First Take today’

On Monday 10 January, regular viewers tuned into the show expecting to see Molly and Stephen A. However, much to their disappointment, they were both missing.

Stephen A. Smith reportedly caught covid back in December, and fans sent plenty of well-wishes to him today wishing him their best.

With Molly, though, ESPN are yet to reveal where she is, prompting many questions from fans online. Some wondered if she was also affected with covid, or had indeed caught the virus, but there has been no official confirmation yet.

Fans flooded her mentions on Twitter, with people asking if she’s ok and when will she be back.

Importantly, Molly is still very much a part of the show and has not left her hosting position, despite some fans’ fears. Several people online suggest Molly will be back in her usual role on First Take on Monday 17 January.

Stephen A recently tested positive for covid

Stephen A. Smith announced on 21 December that he has tested positive, per multiple reports. Some believe this may be something to do with my Molly has also been away. “I’ve tested positive for COVID-19, I have the coronavirus, ” Stephen A reportedly said at the time. “I learned this over the weekend, I got tested three times last week prior to the weekend and I had tested negative. I tested negative before I departed from L.A., I tested negative when I arrived in L.A., I tested negative when I got back from L.A.”

“I’m feeling fine. Mild symptoms,” Smith said while working remotely. “Thank God I was vaccinated. Thank God I got the Pfizer vaccine, two shots a few months ago.”

According to Yahoo Sports!, Stephen A was also due an endoscopy, which was a separate issue and not covid related. It’s likely Stephen A is resting up from both issues and will return when fully healthy.

Molly Qerim Rose announced split from Jalen Rose in 2021

In December 2021, it was revealed that Molly Qerim Rose had split from husband Jalen Rose.

“After being separated for almost a year, Molly and I have officially decided to go our separate ways,” Jalen Rose said on Instagram. “We both agree remaining friends and colleagues is the best course of action for our relationship going forward,” he said. “Please respect our privacy at this time.”

The couple were married for three years, and according to Connecticut court records, first obtained by TMZ Sports, both parties filed for divorce in May 2020. Molly has not addressed the split since it was made public.
