Here’s what Kyrie Irving’s all-black shoes were last night after fans joked they looked like Skechers.

Kyrie Irving returned to the court last night vs the Philadelphia 76ers in what was his second game back from suspension.

The Brooklyn Nets star was suspended recently for sharing a link to a film criticized as antisemitic.

Following the controversy, Nike announced it had suspended its relationship with the point guard and canceled its plans to release his next signature shoe, the Kyrie 8.

“We are deeply saddened and disappointed by the situation and its impact on everyone,” Nike said in a statement.

Kyrie Irving Skechers joke goes viral

After the announcement was made, fans were eager to see what sneakers Kyrie would now be taking to the court in. Against the 76ers on Tuesday night, Kyrie sported an all-black sneaker with a minimal design.

Kyrie scored 23 points in the sneakers, but it was not enough to beat Philly who came away with a 115-106 victory.

On social media last night, Kyrie Irving’s shoes went viral after one high profile parody account likened them to Skechers.

‘Kyrie Irving dropped 37 points in some Hanes socks and Skechers’, the post read, which had over 34k likes before being deleted.

Here’s the original tweet:

What shoes did Kyrie Irving have on last night?

That was clearly a joke, but many fans wanted to know what Kyrie Irving’s shoes were last night. The pair he wore are the Kyrie 4 Triple Blacks.

A few fans pointed it out and shared a closer look at the sneakers:

What Kyrie has worn in previous games

In his previous game (his first after the suspension) Kyrie wore two different sneakers. As Fan Nation highlighted, Irving warmed up in the Nike Kyrie 5 before switching to the Nike Kyrie 1 in-game.

The Twitter account @itstheshorts shared an up-close picture of Irving’s Nike Kyrie 1s, which he had customised with a sharpie.

Irving drew two Xs on the side of the shoe and wrote “A11even Tribe” on the side:
