Udonis Haslem memes after the Heat veteran got ejected against the Philadelphia 76ers over a fight with Dwight Howard. Haslem’s ejection appeared to tickle Twitter’s followers, who shared a number of memes.

Heat forward Udonis Haslem appeared in an NBA game for an 18th straight season on Thursday.

However, the 40 year-old only played three minutes before getting ejected early in the second quarter against the Philadelphia 76ers after a confrontation with Dwight Howard.

It gives Haslem the unenviable stat of being the oldest NBA player over the last 20 season to get ejected from a game.

Needless to say, Twitter had a field day with the memes.

Haslem checked in with 59.3 seconds to go in the first quarter of Miami’s final home game of the regular season.

Things started well; in three minutes of game action, Haslem shot a perfect 2-for-2 from the field and grabbed a rebound.

However, things started to go array when Sixers centre Dwight Howard appeared to push Haslem.

Not one to back down from an altercation, Haslem confronted Howard before shoving him, which resulted in his ejection.

Despite being a beloved figure among the Heat faithful, people were quick to ridicule Haslem’s brief but eventful appearance last night.

Will Haslem retire this season?

It’s hard to pinpoint when exactly the 3 time NBA champion plans to retire.

In January 2019, Haslem indicated that the 2018–19 season would be his last, but in late 2020 announced that he’d decided to return to the Miami Heat for an 18th NBA season.

He told the Miami Herald: “I am the Miami Heat. The Miami Heat is me.”

“Just understanding what my value is and understanding that these guys really still value what I bring to the table. With that being said, another opportunity to win another championship in Miami.”

The Heat reached the Finals last year but lost 4-2 to the Lakers. They currently sit fifth in the Eastern Conference with two more road games left of the regular season.
