Ben Simmons has made his feelings clear that he wants out of Philadelphia. However, reports have emerged that Rich Paul could also look to move one of his other 76ers clients, Tyrese Maxey, away from the orgnanization. Fans are understandably upset and vented their frustration online.

Ben Simmons wants out of Philly

It’s no secret that the 76ers have been looking to offload Ben Simmons this offseason.

The Philly point guard was heavily criticised during last season’s playoffs, proving himself to be a complete liability on offense.

The 25-year-old is coming off his third All-Star appearance and his second All-Defensive Team selection, however, his trade value has plummeted after his wretched performances last year.

He is coming into the second season of a five-year, $177 million contract, and it appears the organization is having difficulty finding a landing spot.

According to The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Keith Pompey report, though, the feeling is mutual, and Simmons wants out of Philly altogether.

Tyrese Maxey could also end up leaving the 76ers

Although Simmons struggled in the playoffs, one of the few positives for the 76ers was the emergence of Tyrese Maxey.

The 20-year-old former Kentucky Wildcat changed the tide in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Hawks.

Maxey had 16 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block coming off the bench, and made a case for himself being a starter.

However, according to NBA reporter Jason Dumas, Rich Paul could be looking to get his clients (both Simmons and Maxey are signed to Paul’s Klutch Sports) out of Philly.

Fans react to the possibility of Maxey leaving with Simmons

Whether they like it not, Maxey could be the collateral damage of this 76ers/Ben Simmons fallout.

If Klutch Sports are unhappy with the way the organization has treated Simmons, they could well throw the baby out with the bathwater and get Maxey out of there too.

Understandably, 76ers fans are not happy about the situation and the possibility of losing such a promising young star.

It remains to be seen how this all ends, but the Raptors, Kings and Timberwolves have all be mooted as potential landing spots.
