Point-guard Tyrese Haliburton entered the 2020 NBA Draft yesterday and was selected by the Sacramento Kings as the 12th pick of the first round. The 20-year-old was pictured in a floral tuxedo sitting beside two women. This prompted many fans to ask one question. Who is NBA star Tyrese Haliburton’s girlfriend?

Who is NBA star Tyrese Haliburton’s girlfriend?

Does Haliburton have a girlfriend? The answer is yes. The lady in question is none other than Jade Jones, the woman pictured on his left in the picture below. His mother, Brenda, is the lady on his right.

According to his Instagram account, Jones and Haliburton met at Iowa State University.

Not much is known about Jade as she seems to keep a low profile on social media. What we do know, however, is her birthday falls on 30 January, and she was a cheerleader for Iowa State Cyclone’s basketball and soccer teams.

The two have been together for more than a year, with the relationship beginning in April 2019, according to Haliburton’s Facebook.

Tyrese Haliburton’s career

Haliburton is 6ft 5in (1.96m) and weighs 175lb (79kg). He was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on 29 February 2000 and is the son of John and Brenda Haliburton. John Haliburton is a referee.

His cousin, Eddie Jones, was a three-time NBA All-Star who had a 14-year career in the NBA. Teams he played for included the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat. He ended his career at the Dallas Mavericks.

Haliburton represented Oshkosh North High School before moving on to Iowa State.

At Oshkosh, he helped the side to a 26-1 record and a state championship in 2017-18, according to USA Basketball.

Senior career

Haliburton played two seasons at Iowa State. He played 57 times, starting 56 and averaging 10.1 points per game.

Tyrese represented USA in the International Basketball Federation Under-19 World Cup. He helped his nation win last year’s tournament in Greece and was named in the competition’s all-tournament team.

Haliburton entered the draft this year and was selected by the Sacramento Kings as the 12th pick of the first round.
