Toronto Raptors fan Nav Bhatia inducted into Hall of Fame
Toronto Raptors superfan Nav Bhatia was recently inducted into the the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
Bhatia is officially the first fan to be immortalised in the Hall of Fame, having sat ourtside at nearly every Raptors home game since 1995.

Bhatia said on social media:
“In the greatest building basketball has, the name Superfan Nav Bhatia will be immortalized. There is now a turban and the first fan honoured within Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
“I am overcome with emotions today.”
In 2018, Bhatia founded his own organization, the Nav Bhatia Superfan Foundation, which unites people through the game of basketball. He even has his own 2019 Raptors NBA championship ring.

Stephen A. Smith on fans being voted to the Hall of Fame
First Take co-host Stephen A. Smith was on the show today and was asked what he thought about fans being inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Smith was less than impressed, sharing the clip to Twitter with the caption: ‘Hell NO! A fan shouldn’t be inducted into the Hall of Fame!’

Some thought Stephen. A had a point, and that fans should not be voted into the Hall of Fame, while others said fans deserve the recognition just as much as players.
