We find out more about Ray Allen’s wife, Shannon, and their children after the former Celtics Big Three – Allen, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce – appear to have made their peace.

Ray Allen is a Hall of Famer who spent 18 seasons in the NBA. He won three gold medals with Team USA and was part of the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat teams that won NBA Championships.

However, the ten-time All-Star and former teammates Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce have had a rocky relationship in recent years, stemming from Allen leaving Boston to join bitter rivals the Miami Heat.

During the celebration of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary team at the weekend, footage appeared to show Garnett failing to acknowledge Ray Allen on stage.

However, a picture eventually surfaced of the three former teammates together, seemingly quashing their beef. KG uploaded it to his Instagram story while another former teammate, Kendrick Perkins, shared the photo to his IG with the caption: “Hi haters!”

Ray Allen’s wife, Shannon

Ray Allen’s wife is Shannon Walker Williams, now Allen, whom the basketball legend married in 2008 after four years of dating. Shannon graduated from Mercy High School, Middletown, in 1992 and went on to study music at Northeast University.

Walker Williams is famous in her own right as she was a member of Motown Records group Shades alongside Danielle Andrews, Tiffanie Cardwell and Monique Peoples. The group formed in 1997 while they were all studying at Northeast. The group released their only album, Shades, that same year. Later in 1997, the group split and Shannon moved into acting.

Shannon Allen’s career in more detail

Shannon dabbled in acting in 1994, appearing in the movie Once Were Warriors. She returned to the industry in 1998 for Girlfight and went on to appear in several films including Britney, Baby, One More Time, and TV shows such as Sex And The City and Hawaii Five-O.

Walker Williams then worked as a TV chef, telling ESPN in 2008 that when Ray was with the Celtics, she came up with the idea of a sports-related cooking show. It was entitled Pre-Game Meal and aired on CSN in Boston.

Shannon now runs The Pre-Game meal that “helps busy people, soccer moms and kids create quick, healthy, delicious meals meant to feed your home team and inspire your inner superstar”.

She also opened a healthy fast food restaurant in Florida in 2016 and, in 2017, opened a cafe in her home town of Middletown, Connecticut.

Ray Allen’s children

Ray Allen and Shannon have four sons – Walter, Walker, Wynn and Wynstan. He also has a daughter, Tierra, with his ex Rosalind Ramsey.

The family appear to be very close, with Ray often uploading pictures to Instagram. He even shared a Christmas message to his followers that included his whole family singing!
