Against the Trail Blazers on Sunday night, Nikola Jokic made the most ridiculous no-look pass you will see all season.

Nikola Jokic is widely recognised as the best passing big man in the game. Given his size and strength, it’s easy to forget how skilled he really is. The Serbian makes passes most guards couldn’t make, and his vision and execution on dishes is what sets him apart from the rest of league.

On Sunday, he was at it again. In fact, Nikola Jokic’s pass against the Blazers may be the best you’ll see all season.

Nikola Jokic’s no-look pass has to be seen to be believed

The Denver Nuggets blew out Portland 124-92 on Sunday. The reigning MVP only had eight points but finished with 18 rebounds and 11 assists.

However, he could have had 12 assists if Monte Morris drained that breathtaking dime. Jokic received the ball in the low post as he sized up his defender. He then fizzed a 180-degree no-look pass behind him to the left corner straight into the hands of Morris.

Fans couldn’t believe he actually made it

Jokic’s no-look pass is as good as any seen this season. The audacity to try it is one thing, but to actually pull it off is another. It truly was an insane pass, and fans online couldn’t believe he’d pulled it off.

Jokic closing in on history

Jokic is one of the front-runners for MVP this season, despite the Nuggets sitting as sixth seed in the Western Conference. It has been a disappointing regular season for the franchise but individually Jokic is closing in on history.

After recently notching his 16th triple-double this season (and 73rd of his career overall), Jokic is just five triple-doubles shy from tying Wilt Chamberlain’s record for most triple-doubles of all time (78) by a center. What’s most interesting is Wilt played in 1,045 games to reach that total while Jokic has only played 507 games.

It was only a few weeks ago that Jokic also joined Wilt as the only players with multiple 25-point triple-doubles on 80 per cent shooting in NBA history.
