Here’s everything we know about Mitchell Robinson’s mom, Lakesha Robinson, after it was reported the Knicks player’s father is missing.

Mitchell Robinson plays for the New York Knicks and was selected with the 36th overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft.

On 13 February 2022, The Sun reported Mitchell Robinson III’s father, Mitchell Robinson Jr, had been missing for more than ten days. Here’s what we know about his parents, including Mitchell Robinson’s mom.

Mitchell Robinson’s father reportedly missing

On 13 February, it was revealed Mitchell Robinson’s father had gone missing in Escambia county, an area in northwest Florida. According to Yahoo Sports!, the NBA star shared a Facebook post from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office giving his father’s vital statistics and information about where he was last seen.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office post read: “Missing endangered adult: Mitchell Robinson Jr. DOB: 10/31/82.” The post added Robinson Jr was last seen in Atilla Avenue on 11 February 2022.

On Monday, 21 February, Mitchell took to his Instagram story to ask the public for assistance regarding his father’s whereabouts.

Robinson wrote: “Don’t know a place the devil will hide you … come home pops.”

Days earlier on 19 February, he posted on his story feature: “My dad is missing. If you have info on his whereabouts, please contact 850-436-9620.“

Naturally, people wanted to know more about Mitchell Robinson’s mom, Lakesha Robinson, after hearing the worrying news about his father.

Mitchell and Lakesha Robinson made headlines in 2019 when the Knicks star surprised his mom with a new car. He gave her a white Impala and shared the heartwarming video to social media. Robinson wrote: “Had to show my momma appreciation for helping me become a man and a better player.”

Robinson was seen supporting Obi Toppin at All-Star Weekend

Heavy reports Robinson went home to Louisiana to watch the All-Star Weekend. He uploaded several videos to his Instagram Story cheering on Knicks teammate Obi Toppin in the NBA Dunk Contest.

Robinson appeared to be surrounded by friends and family as they watched Toppin win the event. The Knicks play next on 25 February against the Miami Heat at MSG. It is not yet known whether Robinson will feature in the game in light of recent events.
