Are the two linked in any way?

Despite not being related to Steve Kerr, Kerr Kriisa does have some links to the NBA legend.

Kriisa is named after Kerr, who used to play for Arizona in his college days before his 1988 drafting to the NBA. Moreover, Kriisa also wears the #25 jersey for the Arizona Wildcats – the same number Kerr did in his time with the team.

Kerr went on to form part of the Bulls dynasty alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Since his retirement, he’s claimed three NBA titles as a coach at the Golden State Warriors to bring his total tally of championships to eight.
