It’s safe to say Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant is scared of no man. On Monday evening, the Memphis Grizzlies faced the Chicago Bulls at FedExForum, winning 119-106.
During the game, Ja Morant got into it with Tony Bradley, and had a hilarious message after the confrontation.
Steven Adams separates Morant and Bradley
Morant and Bradley got into a scuffle after the Grizzlies start was driving to the basket. A small on-court fracas ensued, with Memphis big man Steven Adams intervening.
The New Zealander cooled things down by picking up the 6ft 10in, 248lb Bradley and carrying him away from the situation. Bradley was given a flagrant foul on the play before Morant and Bradley were assessed as committing technical fouls.
Ja Morant claims he ‘can fight’ after Tony Bradley altercation
Hilariously, Morant could later be seen on the Grizzlies bench sounding off about the altercation. He let teammates know he was ready to throw down if necessary, saying: “I can fight all right.”
Ja then quote-retweeted the video adding: “& something else.”
Ja Morant’s hilarious three-word response about Steven Adams lifting Tony Bradley
In his press conference after the game, Ja Morant was asked about the scuffle involving Tony Bradley and Steven Adams. Ja said Bradley tried to trip him up, which “wasn’t a basketball play”, and the reason why he reacted.
He said he told Bradley to get off him after the Bulls man was grabbing his jersey. One reporter then mentioned Steven Adams carrying Bradley away, to which Ja casually replied: “As he should.”
Morant finished the game with 25 points and four rebounds. The Grizzlies have now won 12 of their past 13 games and have the no.3 seed in the Western Conference.
They take on the Bucks on Wednesday night looking for their seventh straight road win.
