Twitter compares Devin Booker to NBA legend after incredible Game 1 display against Clippers

In his first Western Conference Finals appearance, Phoenix guard Devin Booker had an outstanding performance in the Suns 120-114 win. During the game, Twitter was awash with comparisons of the youngster to an NBA legend.

With Chris Paul out of Game 1, Devin Booker had to have a stellar night if the Phoenix Suns were to have any chance of winning.

And he did just that, notching the first triple double of his career, finishing with 40 points, 11 assists and 13 rebounds.

The 24 year-old was absolutely sensational, getting his shots off at will and doing it on both ends of the floor.

His exceptional performance drew some pretty epic comparisons on Twitter.

Twitter compares Devin Booker to Kobe Bryant

It’s no secret that the former Laker legend had a huge impact on Booker’s career.

The guard has spoken about Kobe Bryant’s influence on his game growing up, and people on Twitter could see the similarities between the two in Game 1 of the WCF.

As Booker continued to pour it on the Clippers, people were in awe by how Kobe like it was.

Booker even has a tattoo of his idol, Kobe Bryant.

The tattoo which Booker simply says “Be Legendary” in cursive writing on one of his forearms.

Bryant wrote those words on a shoe of his that he gave to Booker after playing in a game against the Suns in 2016, Bryant’s final year in the NBA.

Booker had Bryant’s writing on the shoe used for his tattoo.
