On Inside the NBA last night (4 May), Charles Barkley dropped a hilarious Freudian slip that had the rest of the crew in complete stitches.
The NBA playoffs are in full flow and the games are coming in thick and fast. On Wednesday night (4 May), the Phoenix Suns won Game 2 of their second-round series against the Mavs, while the Heat went 2-0 up in their series against the 76ers.
Of course, the basketball is incidental as most fans are just interested in Inside the NBA. The NBA on TNT crew, consisting of Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith, make up one of the most entertaining and downright hilarious shows on TV.

The gang are usually working until the early hours of the morning covering NBA action. To make the shift that bit more bearable, they often engage in a number of decidedly non-basketball activities.
They’re also prone to getting a tad tired as the evening draws on, which is presumably Chuck’s excuse for dropping this all-time Freudian slip.
During a segment last night, Barkley randomly dropped in the phrase “speaking of coming” and immediately the rest of the crew descended into fits of laughter. It seems their minds, like some of us watching, are in the gutter at that time of day!
Chuck dropped another all-timer recently
Barkley is evidently on a roll with unfortunate slips of the tongue. Just a week or so ago, during a segment about taking the ball in the post, he made a rather awkward use of the word ‘banging’.
Ernie and the rest of the crew did their best to keep a lid on things but ultimately they couldn’t refrain from bursting into fits of laughter.

The fact the crew are providing this much entertainment with such a long way to go in the playoffs can only be a good thing for fans.
Moments like these make you realise how amazing they all are – make the most of them while they’re still doing it.
