After reports emerged that LeBron’s youngest son may be the best NBA prospect in the James family, we take a look at Bryce James’ height and age.

LeBron James has always maintained his desire to finish his career playing alongside his son. Many NBA fans and pundits assumed that would be his eldest son Bronny James. However, after a recent report by ESPN, LeBron’s youngest son, Bryce James, may end up being an even better prospect.

Who is Bryce James? Basketball career so far

Bryce Maximus James is the middle child and youngest son of LeBron and Savannah James. Bryce was born on 14 June 2007 and is 15 years old.

While living in Akron, Ohio, when LeBron was with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Bryce attended Old Trail School in Bath Township, Summit County. During this time he played a lot of AAU basketball.

However, Bryce and his family moved to Los Angeles in 2018 when LeBron was traded to the Lakers. Bryce transferred to Sierra Canyon School, a private K–12 school in Chatsworth, along with his brother Bronny.

Both brothers have played for Sierra Canyon and you can check out some of their highlights below:

Clues into Bryce James’ height

Many fans are curious to know what Bryce James’ height is. At the end of 2021, Paolo Songco, a writer for Clutch Points, shared a photo Bronny had uploaded to Instagram. The picture shows Bronny and Bryce side by side with Bronny’s caption reading: “Bro is literally my height.”

Bronny James is listed as 6ft 3in so it’s safe to say back then Bryce James was also 6ft 3in. He has certainly shot up in recent years and still has plenty of time to grow.

Recent pic with LeBron suggests he is catching up dad

Like most teenagers though, Bryce is growing quick, and it seems he’s had another spurt. A recent picture circulated on social media showing Bryce stood next to dad LeBron and the height difference isn’t that great.

LeBron is around 6ft 8in and Bryce isn’t that far off. It seems Bryce James’ current height is now around the 6ft 4in – 6ft 5in range:

Bryce may be a ‘better prospect than brother Bronny’

Interest in Bryce spiked when ESPN’s Brian Windhorst recently said some people around the NBA felt Bryce James had a higher basketball ceiling than Bronny.

“There are people who told me Bryce actually might be the better prospect among the two,” Windhorst said.

Bronny is the one who has always attracted the most media attention. However, the initial buzz has slightly fizzled out in recent months. Nevertheless, 247Sports has ranked Bronny No. 34 in his class, making him a solid four-star prospect.

Then again, with LeBron saying “my last year will be played with my son”, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a smaller market team take a punt on Bronny just to land his legendary father.
